Dessie McClusky, 80, of Sour Lake, Texas died Sunday, August 13, 2006 in Lumberton, Texas. She was born on May 23, 1926 to Tillford and Burkie McClusky in Hull, Texas.
Dessie was a lifelong resident of Sour Lake. She retired from C.P. National Telephone in Winnie as a telephone operator. She was a faithful member of the Assembly of God Church.
She is survived by her brother: Thurman McClusky and wife Theda June of Silsbee; her sister Tommie Lee Granger and husband Jackie of Spurger; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Wednesday, August 16, 2006 from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M, at Broussard’s Chapel, 530 W. Monroe, Kountze, Texas. A graveside service will follow at 12:00 P.M. at Pine Ridge Cemetery in Sour Lake with the Reverend Kenneth Brooke officiating.
