Ross Donald Bryant, 73, of Kountze, Texas died Tuesday, August 08, 2006 at his residence. Ross was born on May 29, 1933 in Colmesneil to Ross and Lilla Bryant.
He was a resident of Kountze for 38 years and was retired from Swift Packing Company as a salesman. Following retirement, he worked for Quick Serv Meats in Beaumont for 15 years.
Ross is survived by his wife: Billie Jean Bryant; children: Linda Penland and her husband Joe, Gary Bryant and wife Pam, and Debbie Griffin and husband Mike all of Kountze; sisters: Dolories Glach of Beaumont and Helen Faye Jackson and husband Calvin of Ivanhoe; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M., Thursday, August 10, 2006 at Broussard’s Mortuary Chapel, 530 W. Monroe, Kountze, Texas with Reverend Tony Thornton officiating. Burial will be at 1:00 P.M. at Colmesneil Cemetery in Colmesneil, Texas. A gathering of family and friends will be today, August 9, 2006 from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at Broussard’s ,530 W. Monroe, Kountze, Texas 77625
