Ignacio “Nacho” Contreras, 67, of Nederland, passed away, Friday July 28, 2006 at his residence in Nederland.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, August 1, 2006 at Broussard’s in Nederland with Rev. T.R. Blanco officiating with interment to follow at Memory Gardens in Nederland. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5 to 8 PM Monday with a rosary to be recited at 6:00 PM at the mortuary.
Nacho was a native of Nazerno, Dgo. Mexico and lived in Nederland since 1973. He retired from the Lucky Liquor Store as a clerk with 20 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, Liz Contreras of Nederland; two sons, Oscar Contreras of Monterrey, Mexico, and Richard Contreras of Juarez, Mexico; two sisters, Sylvia Estrada, and Tinsha Contreras both of Nuevo Laredo, Mexico; two brothers, Pancha Contreras, and Raymond Contreras both of Nazerno, Dgo. Mexico; four grandchildren, and a host of sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
