Lifelong Beaumont resident, Albert Thomas Rutledge, 79, passed away Monday, July 24, 2006 at Calder Woods Retirement and Care Facility in Beaumont.

Albert was born in Rosedale, Texas and lived and worked in Beaumont his entire life. In the 1960’s, he moved to the newly constructed Mobil Chemical facility where he worked until his retirement in 1996, after forty-eight years of service. Albert also worked and completed various special projects for Mobil Chemical in the years after his formal retirement.

Albert is survived by his wife of fifty-eight years, Hazel Rutledge of Beaumont; daughters, Mildred Morgan of Beaumont, Marlene Jennis and her husband Mike of Sour Lake, and Martha Williams and her husband Doug of Waco; son-in-law, Harry Morgan of Vidor; brothers, John Rutledge and Virgil Rutledge both of Beaumont; six grandchildren, Brady Alexander, Michael Morgan, Robert Morgan, Noel Williams, Preston Williams, and Taylor Williams; great grandson, Nathan Williams; and great granddaughters, Callie Williams and Caroline Williams.
