NELL BEVEL
Nell Bevel, 69 of Winnie, died July 15, 2006 at her residence in Winnie.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 18, 2006 in Broussard’s Chapel, 134 W. Buccaneer Dr., in Winnie, with burial to follow in Fairview cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, July 17, 2006 at the funeral home.
Nell was born on February 3, 1937 in Anton, Texas to Simp and Virgie Oliver. On January 25, 1954 she married L. E. Bevel, Jr. in Smyer, Texas. They lived in the Lubbock area for sixty years before moving to Winnie ten years ago.
She is survived by her husband, L. E. Bevel of Winnie; father, Simp Oliver of Anton; son, Galen Bevel and his wife, Rebecca of Houston; daughter, LaVone Miles of Memphis, TN; brother, Wayne Oliver and his wife, Claudine of Shallowater; sisters, Delores Lyons and Geraldine Goen and her husband, Don of Lubbock, Mary Lou Richey of Houston; six grandchildren, Joushua Miles, Nicholas Miles, Kenneth Miles, Tabora Miles, Kelsey Bevel and Kate Bevel; and one great grandchild, Jada Miles.
