Nelson Arthur Mitchell, 65, of Sour Lake, Texas died Thursday, July 13, 2006 in Beaumont, Texas. He was born on March 19, 1941 to Mabel and Nelson Mitchell in Rockport, New York.
A resident of Sour Lake for 20 years, he was a retired tree climber for Asplundh Tree Service and a United States veteran serving in the United States Army.
Nelson is survived by his daughter Stacy Mitchell of Belchertown, Massaschusetts; his son Nelson C. Mitchell of Massaschusetts; the mother of his children Dawn M. Christian of New York; grandchildren Anthony Wright, Angelo Wright, Alezandria Rae Mitchell, and Aviana Rose Mitchell; his beloved friends, Dana Kerr of Sour Lake and Elroy and Barbara Rocquemore of Sour Lake.
Memorial service will be Saturday, July 15, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. at Growing in Christ Image Church, 375 Barfield, Sour Lake, Texas with Reverend Clarence Russell officiating. Cremation arrangements are being handled by Broussards in Kountze.
