Verna Theriot, age 73, of Nederland, passed away July 8, 2006, at her residence.
Mrs. Theriot was born September 23, 1932 in Lafayette, LA and had been a resident of the Southeast Texas area for most of life. She was a member of the Church of Christ Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Cheryl Theriot; one son, Glen Theriot; eight grandchildren, Kelly Ann Theriot, Shayne Theriot, Joshua Hall, Justin Theriot, Alvin Hall, Nick Jagneaux, Sean Hall and Chad Touchet; sixteen great grandchildren, Brandon Hall, Austin Hall, Clayton Bailey, Breanna Theriot, Trinity Theriot, Colton Theriot, Elizabeth Bruntmeyer, Tailey Touchet, Dillion Jagneaux, Christian Jeagneaux, Braydon Jagneaux, Jason Jagneaux, Emily Jagneaux, Zelina Hall, Zondrea Hall and Jason Hall; one sister, Jean Babineaux; her Skipbo partner, Doris Niebergall; her best friend, Linda Bruntmeyer. Also surviving are a host of family and friends to many to mention.
Those preceding her in death were her father and mother, Joseph and Beulah Clark Thibodeaux, husband, James Carl Theriot, son, Monte James Theriot and brother, Joseph Houston Thibodeaux.
The family wants to thank everyone who has been there for them in this trying time and through her sickness as well.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 5-8 PM Tuesday, July 11, 2006 at Broussard’s Mortuary 505 12th. St. in Nederland. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 12, 2006 at Broussard’s Nederland Chapel. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.
