Charlene E. Willey, age 82, of Nederland, passed away June 21, 2006, at St. Mary Hospital in Port Arthur.
Mrs. Willey was born February 1, 1924 in Pineland, Texas and had been a Southeast Texas area resident most of her life. She worked many years as a Nurse at the Hughen Center in Port Arthur and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Nederland.
She is survived by her two sons, Mark Hill and wife, Donna Barras and Van Willey and wife, Pattie; five grandchildren, Hunter, Shannon and Kayla Willey and Jordi LaBouef and James Barras; along with numerous other relatives.
She was preceded in death last year by her husband, Archie C. Willey.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 5-8 PM Sunday, June 25, 2006 at Broussard’s Mortuary 505 12th. St. in Nederland. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Monday, June 26, 2006 at Broussard’s Nederland Chapel with Reverend Malcolm Monroe officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.
