Robert Franklin Ford, Sr., 90, of Silsbee, TX died peacefully Monday, June 12, 2006 at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth in Beaumont, TX.
Bob was born in Sherrill, Arkansas on December 22, 1915 to Lee Williams Ford and Robert Franklin Ford. He was a resident of the Beaumont/Silsbee area since 1937 and was a retired electrical contractor. Bob was a World War II United States Army veteran.
Survivors include wife of sixty-eight years, Olliemay Heffner Ford of Silsbee; son, Robert F. (Bob) Ford, Jr. and his wife Mary Jo Broussard Ford of Beaumont; daughter, Dannah Ford of Beaumont; daughter, Ellen Ford Baldwin and her husband Alexander G. (Alex) Baldwin of Oak Ridge, TN; daughter, Jan Ford Plunk and her husband The Honorable Britton E. (Britt) Plunk of Silsbee; daughter, Era N. Ford and her husband Jaroslav (Jarek) Rysavy of Houston; son, Erin O. Ford and his wife Geneva of Crockett; son, Arthur Lee Ford and his wife Vicki Ford of Buna; sisters, Mrs. E.E. (Helen) Swindle of Lake Charles, LA and Mrs. Gerald E. (Jane) Kennedy of Apache Junction, AZ; eleven grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
A gathering of family and friends will be at 2:00 p.m. followed by funeral services at 3:00 p.m. Friday, June 16, 2006 at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
