Mildred Thorla, 86 years, of Port Acres passed away, Sunday, May 31, 2004 at her residence.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Sunday, May 30, 2004 at Broussard’s Mortuary, 505 12th Street, Nederland. Graveside Services and Interment will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 31, 2004 at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Pt. Neches.
Mildred was born August 15, 1917 in Selma, Louisiana and had been an area resident since mid 1948. She was homemaker and a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Port Acres.
Survivors include her three daughters, Carolyn Richard of Houston, Ruth Coon of Port Acres, and Wilda Hanson of Henderson, Nevada; one son, Howard Thorla of Houston; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Also surviving is one brother, J. C. Engles of Monroe, Louisiana and one sister, Lura Mae Brazil of Pollock, Louisiana
