Inamay Budd Grant, 89, of Beaumont, passed away Sunday, June 4, 2006 at her residence in Beaumont.
Mrs. Grant was a native of Beaumont and was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
In July of 1959, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Grant (Chief Deputy Sheriff, Jefferson County). Inamay was a homemaker and a past member of Eastern Star.
Survivors include her five children, Melnee Grant of Beaumont, Sue Purdon of Houston, Thomas Lynwood Grant of Lumberton, Glen Grant of Alexandria, Virginia and Janis Dunigan; seven grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was loved and revered by all; always supporting and never judging, she accepted each for their individual personalities and differences. Ever the true lady never leaving the house without her hair done, her light make-up on and of course her purse and heels. Those of us left behind will have a void that can’t be filled.
Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 7, 2006 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park under the direction of Broussard’s’, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 6, 2006 at the Mortuary.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 1132, Fairfax, Virginia 22038.
