Dr. Beverly Ann Mullins Shepherd, 70, of Carthage passed away Tuesday May 30, 2006 in London, England.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, June 4, 2006 at Broussard’s in Nederland with Rev. Lee Wagliardo officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. A gathering of family and friends will be from 12:30 to service time Sunday at the mortuary.
Dr. Shepherd was a native of Port Arthur and lived in Nederland most of her live before moving to Carthage two years ago. She worked at the Nederland Independent School District where she taught English, and served as a student counselor, and after retirement Dr. Shepherd worked as a substance abuse counselor until her retirement.
Dr. Shepherd is survived by her husband, Ray Shepherd of Carthage; one daughter, Carol Blount and husband Roger of Mauriceville; one son, Myers Mullins Sr. and wife Lisa of Nederland; one sister, Linda Miller and husband Sonny of Woodville; one uncle, Daniel Lee of Nederland; seven grandchildren, Mellisa Warren and husband Chris, David Blount and wife Melanie, Bryan Blount, Anne Mullins, Myers Mullins Jr. Natasha Mullins, and Sarah Mullins; one great grandchild, Caleb Warren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Myers Herman Lee and Dixie Minette Lee.
