Odell Glaze, 83, of Kountze, was born on November 19, 1922 in Breckenridge, Texas, to William and Naomi James. She passed away on Sunday, May 28, 2006 at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital in Beaumont.
A lifelong resident of the Sour Lake area, Odell was a member of Pine Ridge Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
She is preceded in death by her husband: George Louis Glaze, Sr. and son: George Louis Glaze, Jr.
Odell is survived by her children: Jerry Glaze and his wife Jane of Katy, Texas, Shirley Meadows of Humble, Howard M. Glaze of Kountze; daughter-in-law: Louise Glaze of Sour Lake; sisters: Mary Jo Johnson of El Campo, Truelene Goodman of Beaumont, Jo Ann Giroir of Evadale; 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 31, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at the Pine Ridge Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Pine Ridge Cemetery in Sour Lake. Under the direction of Broussard’s 530 W. Monroe, Kountze, Texas 77625 A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday, May 30, 2006 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. also at the church.
