Bobby “Catfish Bob” Simms, age 75, of Labelle, passed away May 10, 2006, atSt. Mary’s Hospital in Port Arthur
Mr. Simms was born March 29, 1931 in Port Arthur, TX and had been a lifelong area resident. He retired from Texaco as an Engineer after 33years of service.
Survivors include his wife, Diane Simms of Labelle; two step-sons, Shane Singletary of Port Arthur and Shawn Singletary of Bridge City; four special kids, Aaron Crowder of Junction, Derrick Crowder, Jessica Padgett and Chandler Lovelace all of Labelle; one brother, John Simms of Port Arthur; three grandchildren, Heather Singletary of Orange, Joseph Festa and Jessica Brooks both of Bridge City.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 5-8 PM Friday, May 12, 2006 at the First Baptist Church 500 Gulfway Dr. in Port Arthur with a Memorial service at 6:30 PM at the church with Reverend Charles Roberts officiating.
