Iris Fruge age 59, of Port Arthur passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2006 at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur.
She was born March 15, 1947 in Crowley, LA. She was a member of the Rock Church Southeast. She was a retired Bookkeeper in retail sales.
Survivors include one sister, Sylvia Faye Fruge of Port Arthur one brother, Leroy Joseph Fruge, Sr. and wife, Barbara of Bundicks Lake, LA; Nephews and nieces, L. J. Fruge, Jr., Jacqueline Renee Shipman, Terry Ray Fruge, Henrietta Jo Lynn Reeder, L. Jason Cattell and Charles Henry Cattell; several great nieces and great nephews; aunts, Hilda Beard Dupuis and Loue Ella Fruge Brignac. Also surviving is her caretaker and companion, Richard Brown of Port Arthur.
She was preceded in death by her parents Henry Fruge and Amy Beard Fruge.
A memorial service will be at 10:30 am Sunday April 9, 2006 at the Rock Church Southeast 150 Hwy 365 in Port Arthur. Pastors Mike and Kathie Deasy will be officiating. Graveside services and interment will be 2:00 pm Monday, April 10, 2006 at Consolata Cemetery in Lake Charles, LA with Pastor Mike Deasy officiating.
