Margaret Montoya age 70, of Nederland passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2006 at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur.
She was born March 2, 1936 in Skidmore, TX. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Margaret enjoyed cooking, crabing, family gatherings and garage sales.
Survivors include her one daughter, Gloria Best and husband, Jack, one son, Tony Montoya and wife, Deanna all of Nederland; six grandchildren, Kerri Landry, Jennifer Manning, Mandy Moore, Michael Montoya, Doug Montoya and Stephanie Montoya; seven great grandchildren, Caitlin Landry, Tori Manning, Kiley Manning, Camryn Moore, Cade Montoya, Damien Lequest and Lainey Montoya. Also surviving are one brothers and five sisters.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tony Montoya, Sr.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 5-9 pm Thursday, April 6, 2006 at Broussard’s Mortuary 505 12th. St. in Nederland with a rosary being recited at 6:00 pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11:00 am Friday April 7, 2006 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Reverend T. R. Blanco officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park .
