Mary Viota “Aunt V” Lewis
Mary Viota Lewis, 91, of China died March 31, 2006 at The Clairmont. A native of St. Landry Parish, Louisiana and a lifelong resident of the area, Mary was a devoted and faithful member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church.
Mary is survived by her son, Frank Lewis and his wife Kathy of China; daughter, Helen Overall and her husband Mike of Beaumont; grandchildren, Shane Lewis, Jeremy Kojak, Cody Boots Lewis, Paige Russell, Jody Pritchard, Greta Crawford, Justin Lewis, Sharon Mazzu and Hannah Overall; nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Lewis and her daughter, Raymona Wall.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 A.M. on Monday, April 3, 2006 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in China under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, followed by burial at China Cemetery. A Rosary will be recited 6:00 P.M. on Sunday, April 2, 2006 with a gathering of family and friends to follow at the mortuary.
