W.G. Nelson, Jr., 82, of Beaumont, died Saturday, March 25, 2006 at Memorial Hermann Baptist Beaumont Hospital.
A native of Tulsa, Oklahoma, he has been a resident of Beaumont since 1958. He retired from N. L. McCullough Company with thirty-five years of service; and volunteered his time with the police department, Energy Museum, and Fire Museum where he served on the board. Bill was a World War II Army veteran.
His parents, W.G. Nelson, Sr. and Florence Nelson; and sister, Patricia Earle preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Susan Nelson of Beaumont; son, John Sanford Nelson and his wife Ashley of Beaumont; daughter, Jennifer Ann Marrs and her husband Scott of Houston; sister, Pauline Nelson Trumbull of Greenville, South Carolina; granddaughters, Alexandra Nelson Marrs and Morgan Blair Marrs; and niece, Tricia Earle.
Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, March 28, 2006 at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont. A Christian vigil will be 6:00 P.M. Monday, March 27, 2006 at the Mortuary. Cremations arrangements are under the direction of Broussard’s.
