Mary Roberts Broussard, 88, of Beaumont died Tuesday, March 30, 2004 at her residence. A native of Kountze, and Beaumont resident for most of her life, Mrs. Broussard was a devoted mother and homemaker. She graduated from Kountze High School.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 2, 2004 at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church followed by burial in Forest Lawn Memorial Park under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 N. Major Drive, Beaumont. A Christian Vigil will be held 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening, April 1, 2004 at the mortuary.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Buddy Broussard and son, Robert Mark Broussard.
Survivors include her sons, Jim Broussard and his wife Stacy and Paul Broussard and his wife Nell all of Beaumont; daughter, Jan Broussard Niles and her husband Bruce of San Antonio; brother, Hooks Roberts, Jr. and his wife Scottie of Orange; sister, Wynette Salter of Sour Lake; sister-in-law, Dorothy Broussard of Beaumont; several nieces and nephews; grandchildren, Tori Green and her husband Kevin, Kade Broussard and his wife Marla, Clinton Broussard and his wife Darby, Curtis Broussard, Jason Broussard and his wife Carrie, Melanie Young and her husband Kevin, Michelle Miller, Emily Niles, and Abbie Niles; great grandchildren, Kaleb Green, Sarah Green, Shelby Broussard, Will Broussard, Olivia Broussard, Brandon Romero, Blaine Young, Tyler Young, and Bradley Broussard; and great, great grandchild, Dylan Romero.
Special thanks to her caregivers, Annie Dent, Versie Owens and Ollie Joubert and the entire staff of Calder Woods Skilled Nursing Facility especially, Amelia, Peggy, Ann, and Cici.
