Minnie Elizabeth Hooks, 97, of Beaumont, died Wednesday, March 22, 2006.
A native and life long resident of Beaumont, she was a lifetime member of St. Pius X Catholic Church where she was active with the Auxiliary Ladies.
Survivors include her daughter, Diane Cannon and her husband Jack of Beaumont; two granddaughters, Jill Ross and her husband Todd of Nederland and Amy Briggs and her husband John H of Beaumont; three great grandchildren, Emily Ross, Maris Briggs and Mason Briggs.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 25, 2006 at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont. A gathering of family and friends will begin at 5:00 P.M. Friday, March 24, 2006 with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M. at the Mortuary.
