Myrtle Marie Campbell, 85, of Nederland, passed away Monday, March 13, 2006 at the College Street Health Care Center in Beaumont.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Thursday, March 16, 2006 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Nederland with Rev. Shane Baxter officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park under the direction of Broussard’s in Nederland. A gathering of family and friends will be from 4 to 8 PM Wednesday with a scriptural rosary to be recited at 6 PM at the mortuary.
Mrs. Campbell was a native of Abbeville, Louisiana and lived in Nederland for 54 years. She retired from the Nederland Independent School District as a custodian with 34 years of service.
Mrs. Campbell was preceded in death by her husband, Otto Campbell, two sons, Hamilton Campbell, and Noland Campbell, also her daughter, Gloria McAnally. She is survived by three sons, Louis Campbell and wife Christine of Wildwood, Norman Campbell and wife Evelyn of Nederland, and Rodney Campbell and wife Mary Jo of Beaumont; one brother, Murphy Palumbo of Franklin, Louisiana; seventeen grandchildren, thirty-six great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.
