Linnie Martin
Linnie Martin, 95, died June 7, 2004 in Dallas, Texas. She was born February 22, 1909 in New Iberia, Louisiana and lived most of her adult life in Beaumont. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.D. Martin, who was a long-time city engineer for Beaumont.
She was a member of Westminister Presbyterian Church where she provided beautiful flowers and decorations for many years. She was also a member of the Progressive Study Club. She was a talented artist and craftsperson whose works continue to bring pleasure to her relatives and friends.
Her survivors include her daughter, Karen Kinney of Dallas; son, Charles Martin of Austin; granddaughter, Julie Morgan, her husband Mark and great-grandson Jake of Frisco, Texas; and sister, Irene Nereaux of Westlake, Louisiana.
Graveside services will be 3:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.at Broussard’s 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont.
