WILLIE “MR. SOON” GEORGE
Willie “Mr. Soon” George, 79, of Winnie died on February 11, 2006 at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas, Port Arthur.
A native of Crowley, Louisiana he had lived in Winnie since 1952. Willie was an Army veteran serving in World War II. He was retired from the Maintenance Department at the Texas State Highway Department of Anuahac, Texas.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a. m. Saturday, February 18, 2006 at St. Louis Catholic Church with burial in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Broussard’s 134 W. Buccaneer Dr. Winnie. Visitation is at 8:00 a. m. to 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 18, 2006 at the funeral home with a rosary at 9:00 a.m.
He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-four years, Mary George; daughter, Cynthia George Johnson and her husband Philip; two granddaughters. Quintella Johnson of Pasadena and Sunita Johnson of Houston; one sister, Eva Clements of Crowley, Louisiana; and a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins and friends.
