Darnell Truelsen Doleman, age 80, passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, June 7, 2004 surrounded by her family.
Darnell was born to George and Nellie Truelsen in Beaumont, Texas in 1924. She married James T. Doleman in 1942. Darnell’s deep faith in God was an inspiration to all. Darnell’s life was devoted to the welfare of her children and grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her husband, James, Sr. and her son James, Jr. She is survived by her children, Robert Doleman and his wife Rita, Donald Doleman and his wife Cyndi, Ronald Doleman and his wife Debbie, Nellie Collier and her husband Charles, Annice Richardson and her husband Al, and daughter-in-law Sandra Edwards and her husband Randy. She was a loving grandmother to her 18 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Karoline Harrison and her brother, Jerry Wright and his wife Masae.
Darnell was truly one-of-a-kind. She often unselfishly sacrificed her own well being for the goodness of her family and friends. She was always a great listener and had an uncanny ability to know when to speak and just when to listen… We will truly miss her and cherish the time we had with her each and every day.

Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday June 9, 2004 at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the mortuary.
