Grace A. Steward, 77, of Nederland passed away, Monday February 6, 2006 at her residence in Nederland.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, February 11, 2006 at Broussard’s in Nederland with Rev. Jack Layton officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Nederland. A gathering of family and friends will be from 7 to 9 PM Friday at the mortuary.
Mrs. Steward was a native of Lenoir City, Tennessee and lived in Port Arthur over 45 years. She was retired as a Registered Nurse working in the health care industry for many years. She attended Wood College in Mississippi, and graduated nursing school from the University of Alabama in 1951. She was a member of St. George’s Episcopal Church in Port Arthur where she belonged to the Women’s Auxiliary. She was also a member of the Jefferson County Medical Auxiliary.
Mrs. Steward was survived by her daughter, Beth Steward of Port Arthur; two sons, Clyde Steward of Nederland, and Robert Steward of Seabrook; three grandchildren, Ruth, Megan, and Conor Steward.
