James A. Brown, 88, of Beaumont died January 11, 2006 at Garden Estate Assisted Living Center in Corpus Christi. A native of Vallejo, California and resident of Beaumont for many years, Mr. Brown retired from Bethlehem Steel as a general superintendent after thirty-one years of service.
James is preceded in death by his father, James Winfield Brown; and his mother, Ollie Loretta Spellman.
He is survived by his wife of sixty-eight years, Lois Magner Brown of Beaumont; son, James F. Brown and his wife Barbara of Beaumont; daughters, Karen Marie Smith and husband Richard of Georgetown and Kathleen Delores Holliday and her husband Steve of Corpus Christi; six grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, January 14, 2006 at Forest Lawn Cemetery under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 N Major Drive, Beaumont.
Mr. Brown’s family would like to extend special thanks to his caregivers, Mary Helen Flores, Sandra Dee Soliz and Eva Tamez, for their care and support.
