Ernest Ray Bonds, Major U.S. Air Force Retired, 83, of Sour Lake, was born to William Henry Bonds and Lillie May Freeman Bonds on October 4, 1922 in Hamburg, Mississippi. He passed away Monday, January 2, 2006 at Christus Hospital St. Mary in Port Arthur.
Ernest has lived in Sour Lake for the past 21 years and was a member of 1st Christian Church in Sour Lake. He is retired from the United States Air Force, in which he served during World War II and also Vietnam.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred Bonds of Sour Lake; son, Michael Bonds; grandson, Eric Daub; stepdaughters, Fushia Crow of Kountze and Belinda Martin of Sour Lake; three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and very dear niece, Sissy Burleson.

Cremation arrangements are being handled by Broussard’s, 530 W. Monroe, Kountze, Texas.
