Weldon E. “Mike” Preddy, 89, of Port Arthur, passed away Saturday, December 31, 2005 at his residence.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, January 4, 2005 at St. James Catholic Church in Port Arthur with Rev. Don Donahugh officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves under the direction of Broussard’s in Nederland. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5 to 8 PM Tuesday evening at the mortuary.
Mr. Preddy was a native of Bleakwood and lived most of his life in Port Arthur. He retired from Texaco Refinery in Port Arthur in the instrument department with 39 ½ years of service. He served in the Army Air Corp during WWII as a B-25 bomber pilot.
Mr. Preddy is survived by his daughter, Marsha Strickland and husband Perry of Sulphur, Louisiana; two sons, Patrick Preddy of Port Arthur, and Mike Preddy and wife Melinda of Vidor; five grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
