Bernice H. Davis, 85, formerly of Lumberton, died Thursday, December 29, 2005 in Metairie, Louisiana. A native of Merryville, Louisiana, she was a lifelong resident of the Lumberton area and was a homemaker.
Bernice was preceded in death by her husband, Giles A. Davis and her daughter, Carolyn Ann Davis. Survivors include her daughter, Sylvia M. Davis and her husband James Perez of Metairie; a sister, Syble Wing of Lake Charles; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 2, 2006 at Broussard’s Chapel, 490 Cemetery Road at Highway 96 Bypass, Silsbee, with burial to follow at Oak Bluff Cemetery in Port Neches. A gathering of family and friends will be Monday, January 2, 2006 from 9:30 A.M. until service time.
