Anne G. Curtis, 83, of Beaumont passed away on December 25, 2005 at Memorial Hermann Baptist Beaumont Hospital following a short illness.
Anne was born on February 25, 1922 to her parents, Sarah and Charles Grado in Port Arthur, Texas. She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School and lived in Port Arthur until her marriage to Edward M. Curtis, Jr. in 1954. At the time of her death, she and her husband were residents of Calder Woods.
Anne was a caring, loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Edward “Ed” Curtis, Jr. of Beaumont; sons, Edward M. Curtis III and his wife Daphne Forbes of Raleigh, North Carolina and John J. Curtis and his wife Judy of Dallas, Pennsylvania; sisters, Mary Grado, Josephine Grado, Angeline Bowers, and Katherine Milner all of Port Arthur and Marguarite Pierce of Chicago, Illinois; brothers, Joe Grado and Salvador Grado both of Port Arthur; grandchildren, Valerie Curtis, Daniel Curtis, James Curtis, and Jason Curtis; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service in celebration of Anne’s life will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2005 at Broussard’s, 1605 N Major Drive, Beaumont. A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday evening, December 27, 2005 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Mortuary.
