Cathryn Coleman Bridges, age 83, of Nederland passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2005 at Dubis Hospital in Beaumont.
She was born September 6, 1922 in Beaumont. She was a member of Nederland First Baptist Church and also worked as a secretary for Central Freight Lines. Cathryn was also a member of the Red Hat Society of Nederland.
Survivors include her daughter, Jane Bridges of Granite Shoals; niece, Linda Martin and husband, Neil of Houston; great nephews, Mac Richard and wife, Julie of Austin, Pat Richard and wife, Jane of Houston, Gill Richard and wife, Suzie of Lafayette, CO; six great great nieces and nephews. Also surviving is her extended family, Raymond and Lola Rice and family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James O. (Jack) Bridges and one sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Mac McClain.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, December 22, 2005 at Broussard’s, 505 12th Street, Nederland. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday December 23, 2005 at Broussard’s Nederland Chapel with Reverend Mac Richard officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.
