Jane Stelly Perkins age 62, of Nederland passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2005 at Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur.
She was born January 1, 1943 in Carencro, Louisiana and had lived most of her life in the mid-county area. She was a hairdresser.
Survivors include her husband, Billy Perkins of Nederland; mother, Alida Melancon; of Nederland; three sons, Mike Perkins and wife Kim of Nederland, Kevin Perkins of Dallas, and Corey Perkins of Nederland; one daughter, Leah Perkins of Nederland; one brother, Billy Melancon and wife, Brenda of Kountze; one sister, Geraldine Icker of Lafayette, Louisiana; three grandchildren, Krista, Bryan, and Aubrey Christian Perkins..
She was preceded in death by her father, Ben Melancon and two sisters, Jeanette Ivey and Brenda Smith.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 21, 2005 at Broussard’s, 505 12th Street, Nederland. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 22, 2005 at Broussard’s Nederland Chapel. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.
