Gary Vernon Morgan, 68, of Sour Lake, was born on January 1, 1937, in Emporia, Kansas to Jerome and Mildred Morgan. He passed away at his daughter's home in Sour Lake, on Monday, December 5, 2005.
Gary lived in this area since 1946 and was a retired Pipeline Foreman for (formerly Transcontinental) Williams Company.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Carolyn Rodgers.
He is survived by his wife, Sue Morgan of Lumberton; and his loving pet, Lacy; daughter, Stephanie Whitman and her husband Billy of Sour Lake; son, Cody Morgan and his wife Melanie of Lumberton; grandsons, Colton, Carson, Collin; granddaughters, April Mynard, Rene Williford; great grandsons, Dalton Williford, Davin Williford; sister, Donna Brennan of Sour Lake; brother, Gail Morgan of Weatherford, Glen Morgan of Irving; step-son, Derek Leone, Chuck LeBlanc, Scott Smith, Michael Patterson; step-daughter, Tracy Smith.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 8, 2005 at Broussard’s, 530 W. Monroe, Kountze, Texas with burial to follow at Pine Ridge Cemetery in Sour Lake. A gathering of family and friends will be Wednesday, December 7, 2005 from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.
