Lena Albanese, 90, of Beaumont died, Monday, November 28, 2005 at Gulf Health Care Center in Port Arthur.
Mrs. Albanese was a native of Ratcliff, and lived 80 years in Beaumont. She was a homemaker and a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church in Beaumont.
Mrs. Albanese was preceded in death by her husband, Joe; her sister, Laura Accardo; her granddaughter, Mary Ann Tomasello; and her great grandson, Trenton Joseph Albanese.
She is survived by two daughters, JoAnn Tomasello and husband Pete of Nederland, and Mary Kay Ricks of Nederland; three sons, Don Albanese and wife Peggy of Nederland, Chuck Albanese and wife Martha of Beaumont and Joey Albanese and wife Disa of Sour Lake; three sisters, Bessie Rossi and Jo Bauer both of Beaumont and Mary Jane Mirabella of Bridge City; thirteen grandchildren, Donna Wenner, Jerry Albanese, Suzanne Hill, Jude Tomasello, Gina Romero, Lesli Klekar, Michael Albanese, Eldon Albanese, Jared Albanese, Dustin Albanese, Seth Albanese, Jamie Hawkins, and Amy Ricks; thirteen great grandchildren, Ashley Wenner, Chelsea Wenner, Madison Wenner, Halie Albanese, Garrett Hill, Gavin Hill, Mackenzie Hill, Michael Tomasello, Jaclyn Tomasello, Audrey Albanese, Kendyl Romero, Marissa Romero and Delaney Klekar.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, December 1, 2005 at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church in Beaumont, with Msgr. Francis Burlton officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday evening with a Scriptural Rosary recited at 6:00 P.M. at the mortuary.
