I am so glad to be able to view this beautiful memorial online since I was not able to be there in person. I will surely miss my "Uncle Doug," as he was always dear to me. Although he was in his 50's when I was a child, he was still my "childhood friend" when I would visit my grandmother in the summers, and I always appreciated hearing his Cajun LP's on the phonograph, playing "Hide & Seek " with him, listening to his police scanner, and his stories of being a young man in Port Acres. Rest in peace, Uncle Doug. Love, Nyna

Lots of good memories of going to Port Acres to Grandma and Grandpa's house on 61st Street, sitting on the side porch or Doug walking with us out to the old barn to see the cows. Uncle Doug will be missed.
