Richard David “Ricky” Elliott age 53, of Nederland passed away Thursday, November 24, 2005 at his residence.
He was born September 3, 1952 in Port Arthur and was lifelong area resident. He was a Frame and Wreck Repairman and a 1970 graduate of Nederland High School. Ricky was a member of the First Baptist Church of Nederland.
Survivors include his three sisters, Cindy Carranza of Nederland, Jody Wentzel and husband, Steven of Austin Towne, Ohio, Julie Ponder and husband, Jason of DeSoto, TX; one nephew, Chris Carranza of Nederland; one niece, Kayla Ponder of DeSoto; numerous aunts and uncles of Southeast, TX and Pennsylvania.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dick and Donna Elliott and his step-mom, Jeannette Elliott.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 5-8 pm Sunday, November 27, 2005 at Broussard’s Mortuary 505 12th. St. in Nederland. Funeral service will be at 11:00 am Monday November 28, 2005 in Broussard’s Nederland Chapel with Reverend Joe Roberts officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens in Nederland.
