Hazel Marie Gautreaux Brown, 96, died November 23, 2005 at Oakwood Manor in Vidor, Texas. The daughter of George and Melissa Gautreaux, Mrs. Brown was born in Abbeyville, Louisiana and has been a resident the Orange and Beaumont areas.
Hazel was preceded in death by her husband, C.H. Brown; son, Stephen Grover Brown. She is survived by her sons, John G. Brown of Beaumont, Paul Brown and his wife Jeanine of Garland; daughter, Hazel Ann Brown of Beaumont; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one great great grandchild.
The family extends its appreciation to Dr. Girish Kansara and his staff, the staff of Oakwood Manor Nursing Home and Mary Smith, all of whom provided many years of wonderful care.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 26, 2005 at St. Pius X Catholic Church under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A Christian Vigil will be at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday before service at the church. A graveside service will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, November 28, 2005 at Odd Fellow Cemetery in Seymour, Texas under the direction of Broussard’s, North Major Drive. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Michael Joseph Brown, Joseph Paul Brown, Bryce Alan Turney and Chad Sadler.
