Gloria Choate Sellers, 79, died in Bellville on June 14, 2004. She was born and raised in Beaumont and attended St. Anthony’s Catholic School and Lamar College. She married Joseph David Sellers, the love of her life, on June 23, 1947 and they enjoyed forty-nine years together until his death in 1996.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 17, 2004 at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church followed by burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 N. Major Drive, Beaumont. A Rosary will be recited 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening, June 16, 2004 at the mortuary.
She is survived by daughters, Diane Blanks and husband, Wayne of Bellville and Jo Anne Huber and husband, Steve of Austin. She leaves with wonderful memories her two precious granddaughters, Amee Danna of Katy and Courtney Huber of Austin. She is also survived by brother, Godfrey Choate and wife, LaRue; and sister, Billie Peavy; along with numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her husband, Joseph David Sellers; parents, W. J. and Nora Lee Choate; and sister, Juanette Fleming.
Gloria was a loyal friend to many, a loving wife and mother to her family, and the most fun-loving grandmother in the world.
