Winnie Richard, 84, a native of Mermentau, Louisiana, died November 22, 2005 at Winnie Community Hospital. She had lived in Winnie since 1940 and was a homemaker.
She is survived by her son, Donald Richard of New Caney; daughters, Judy Bertrand and Mary Crossland of Winnie, Patsy Royer of Pampa and Diane Delk of New Caney; Brothers, Reed Benoit and his wife Edelia of Winnie, Carroll Benoit and his wife Carolyn of Lumberton; sisters, Lillian Abshire and her husband Curtis, Vina Breaux, and Trixie Bertrand and her husband Alex all of Winnie and Jeanette Verde of Beaumont; seventeen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and numerous relatives and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial , Saturday, November 26, 2005, 1:00pm at St. Louis Catholic Church, 315 W. Buccaneer Drive, Winnie, with burial at Fairview Cemetery, under the direction of Broussard’s Mortuary 134 W. Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. Visitation and a gathering of family and friends will be 5:00 to 8:00 pm , Friday, November 25, 2005 , St. Louis Catholic Church with Rosary at 7:00 pm.
