Hubert “Hugh” Shelton
Hubert “Hugh” Shelton, 91, of Beaumont died November 5, 2005 at Health South in Houston.
He was born on July 15, 1914 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Emerson and Emma Shelton, and has been a resident of the Beaumont area since 1940. Hugh was a salesman for Stedman Company, an avid golfer, a collector of treasures, loved to read, and was very family oriented.
He is survived by his wife, Anna Belle Shelton of Beaumont; daughters, Barbara Weeks of Houston, Laura Kridner and her husband Stan of Houston, Marilyn Brown and her husband David of Orange; sons, Barry Shelton of Seattle, Washington and Randy Shelton of Houston; grandchildren, Kathy Cruise, Kelley Smith, Christopher Shelton, Leslie Shelton, Heather Brown, Tarah Brown, Shahid Shelton; great grandchildren, Kylee Raymor, Taylor Raymor, Justin Cruise, Cody Cruise, Casey Cruise, Heath Smith, Harrison Smith and Hunter Smith.
Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M. on Thursday, November 10, 2005 at Broussard’s Mortuary, 2000 McFaddin followed by burial at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers will be Stan Kridner, David Brown, Alan Smith, Heath Smith, Harrison Smith and Hunter Smith. A gathering of family and friends will be Wednesday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the mortuary.
