Mary Hickey Dunn, 91, of Orange, died Tuesday, November 1, 2005 at Memorial Hermann Baptist Orange Hospital.
A native of Beaumont, she had been a resident of Orange since 1950. After graduating from Rice University, Mary was a school teacher for Orange Independent School District for many years. She was an avid and successful painter for over forty years.
Survivors include her husband of sixty-seven years, S. P. Dunn of Orange, Texas; sons, David A. Dunn and his wife Betsy of Orange, Texas and Sam E. Dunn and his wife Resa of Houston, Texas; daughter, Mary Lou Hude and her husband Gary of Orange, Texas; grandchildren, Patrick Dunn of Dallas, Texas, Elizabeth Piperi of The Woodlands, Texas, Diane Sauter of Denver, Colorado, Suzanne Dunn of Valencia, California, Craig Dunn of New York City, Becky Poynot of San Diego, California, Kevin Hude of New Orleans, Louisiana, Keith Hude of New Orleans, Louisiana, Jill Hude of Austin, Texas and Sarah Hude of Katy, Texas; and nine great grandchildren.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Broussard’s Crematorium, 5150 Stivers, Beaumont.
