Willa Mae Sonnier of Nederland, died Saturday, October 15, 2005 at Baytown Nursing Home, Baytown Texas.
A mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, October 18, 2005 at Saint Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Nederland, with Reverend Dan Malain officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be Monday, October 17, 2005 from 5:00 until 8:00 pm with a rosary recited at 6:00 pm at Broussard’s in Nederland. Interment will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park, in Groves.
Willa Mae was a native of Crowley, LA., and lived the past 62 years in the Nederland and Port Arthur area, and was a homemaker.
Mrs. Sonnier was preceded in death by her son, Glynn Michael Sonnier. She is survived by husband Wilma Sonnier of Nederland; daughter Lynnette Simmons and husband Rochelle of Nederland; son Martin Joseph Sonnier, Sr. and wife Eula of Groves; nine grandchildren, Michael Sonnier, Jennifer Rabalais, Kimberly Tucker, Daniel Sonnier, Joseph Simmons, Marty Jo Sonnier, Jr., Janice Wilson, Jeffrey Simmons and Paul Sonnier, also 15 great-grand children.
