Evelyn Warren 90, of Votaw was born December 13, 1914, in Votaw, Texas to Hudson and Estelle Bean. She passed away with her family at her side on Saturday, October 15, 2005 at the Kountze Nursing Center.
She lived most of her life in Votaw and was the owner of Warren’s Grocery in Votaw for many years.
Evelyn is preceded in death by her husband: Harvey Warren, daughter: Harvlyn Kervin, great grandson: Micah Moseley, brother: Vernon Bean and sisters: Eva Kennedy and Minnie Lee Handley.
She is survived by her son: Joe Warren and wife Janie of Votaw; daughters: Estelle Ramby and husband Charles of Kountze; and Melba Fitzpatrick of Votaw; brother David Bean and wife Johnnie of Beaumont; sisters: Ebbie Brackin of Beaumont and Alice Blankenship of Lumberton; and grandchildren: Charlotte Tousha, Diane Daniels, Ray Kervin, Mike Kervin, Don Dryden, Carrie LaRive and Jason Warren; 11 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, October 18, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. at Votaw Worship Center in Votaw with burial to follow at Votaw Cemetery under the direction of Broussard’s Mortuary in Kountze. A gathering of family and friends will be today from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. also at the Church.
