Clifford Walter Hughes Jr. 84 of Nederland passed away, Wednesday October 12, 2005 at Regent Care Center in The Woodlands.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, October 16, 2005 at Broussard’s in Nederland with Rev. Jim Hughes, and Rev. David Higgs officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5 to 8 P.M. Saturday evening at the mortuary.
Mr. Hughes was a native of Beaumont and lived in Nederland since 1960. He retired from Dupont Beaumont Works as maintenance foreman with 23 years of service. He also served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.
Mr. Hughes is survived by his wife, Joy Hughes of Nederland; one daughter, Susan Jones and husband Dick of Nederland; two sons, Jim Hughes and wife Janie of Arkansas, and Richard Hughes and wife Ilene of Nederland; one brother, Melvin Hughes of Tampa, Florida; fifteen grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
