Stella Louise Sikes, 81, recently of Bryan, passed away Sunday, September 18, 2005.
She was born in Longview, and was a native of beautiful deep East Texas. She had been a resident of Beaumont, Texas since 1949 where she lived with her beloved husband, John Wesley Sikes, who preceded her in death in 1991. She was also preceded in death by a cherished daughter, Betty, in 1950.
Survivors include her two daughters, Mira Ann Sikes of Bryan and Glinda Gail Vaughn of Fort Worth; four grandchildren, Steven Vaughn, Mark Vaughn, Doug Vaughn and Shelly Jo Vaughn Perry.
Funeral services will be 3:00 P. M. Wednesday, September 21, 2005 at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont. A graveside service will be 3:00 P. M. Thursday, September 22, 2005 at Gilmer City Cemetery in Gilmer. A gathering of family and friends will be 6:00 P. M. until 8:00 P. M. Tuesday, September 20, 2005 at the mortuary.
