James “Jimmy” Hughes, 38, of Mauriceville died August 24, 2005. A native of Tinker, Air Force Base, Oklahoma, and resident of Mid West City, Oklahoma, Jimmy had been a resident of the Orange area for the past four years. He was served in the United States Air Force from 1985 thru 1989 and the United States Marine Corps from 1994 thru 2001.
Jimmy is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hank Hughes of Mauriceville and his mother, Rose Pucik of Blue Island, Illinois; brothers, Mickey Hughes, Scott Hughes, and Wyatt Hughes all of Mauriceville; grandmother, Peggy Sanches of Nederland; niece, Lindsay Hughes of Laurel, Mississippi; aunts and uncles, Robin and Evelyn Griffin of Kountze, Joe and Theresa Hughes of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Travis and Sylvia Stewart of Nederland; and numerous cousins.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 27, 2005 at Broussard’s, 505 12th Street, Nederland followed by burial at Oak Bluff Memorial Park. A gathering of family and friends will be Friday evening, August 26, 2005 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the mortuary.
