I can't believe he's gone. Sometimes I just sit and cry thinking about him. He was a wonderful man of God. I called on him when I was had a problem, he always gave me Godly advice. He was my Sunday school teacher when I was young at Bro, Bill's church. I could never say enough good about him. He's the reason I am going to church and living for God today. He put it into my heart when I was just a kid. Stephen, his son was my best friend for years. They will both be forever in my heart. Everytime I hear the song "Thank You For Giving To The Lord" I cry thinking about Steve giving his time to the Lord in order for me to find my way to the altar and cry out to God when I was grown. Now that I'm teaching Sunday school, I try to do the things he used to do, because he was such a great teacher. There has to be something special waiting for him in Heaven. I love you Shelly & Lori, I never got to know your son Matthew, but I have love in my heart for him also because he has the best parents in the world so I know he has to be a great boy. I pray for you everytime you cross my mind because my heart hurts for you, but it also rejoices for Steve. God Bless you and your family!

I was searching for an obituary and saw Steve's. What a shock. I did not know. I wanted you to know, if you didn't already, that he Weatherfords were more than just patient's to us, we considered you family. Steve did several jobs for us when he was in the repair business. Steve was a good man.He and I played church volleyball together and we shared a lot of family stories and a few laughs. He was so proud of you and the children, Shelly. You were his rock when he was in such pain after losing Stephen. We lost Dr. Harley June 12th so I know some of what you are experiencing. May it comfort you to know that Steve is now with Jesus. I think Heaven is a happier place now that those two are there. Love, Scooter Graff and family

We'll NEVER Forget Steve Weatherford, and Shelly. He taught my Daughter, Lynn, Sunday School Lesson, when she was a little girl.We all went to Christian Center, back then. That sure was the good old days. Lynn and Steven Jr were best Buddys. And Steve would come pick Lynn up and he and his Son, would go somewhere to have something to do.Steve was more like Lynn's Daddy, than a friend. Jesus was his life. And he was so Faithful to the Lord.Lynn talks about him often, even now, with lots of Love, for him and his family. We Love You Steve, and we'll never forget You, ever. You were a Joy, for a child to be around. And such a good Father for your own Children. And A Good Husband, with a deserving Wife.
