Thomas “Tommy” Read
Thomas “Tommy” Read, 65, of Beaumont, Texas died August 23, 2005 at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital.
Tommy was born on August 11, 1940 to R L and Dorothy Read in Freeport, Texas, and moved to Beaumont in the early sixties. He worked as a dispatcher for a trucking company until his retirement. Tommy is a veteran of the United States Air Force.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Kathaleen Read of Beaumont, Texas; daughters, Cari Sue Bounds and her husband Jerry of Benbrook, Texas, Kimberly Anne Miller and her husband Darren of Asheboro, North Carolina, Karen “DeDe” Wooten and her husband Jack of Carthage, North Carolina; son, James Lawrence Read of Beaumont; brother, Ronnie Lee Read of Beaumont, Texas; mother, Dorothy Read of Beaumont, Texas; grandchildren, Donnelle Hall, Cassie Bounds, Amanda Taylor, Andrea Dumeney, Ashley Taylor, J.J. Bounds, Jessica Miller; great grandchild, Kaden Taylor; cousin, Geneva Smiley of Baytown; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. on Friday, August 26, 2005 at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont followed with a graveside service at 5:00 P.M. at Magnolia Cemetery in Woodville, Texas. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. on Thursday evening August 25, 2005 at the mortuary.
