Sophie W. Anderson, 99, of Beaumont, died Saturday, August 13, 2005 at Senior Rehabilitation Center in Port Arthur.
A native of Oppendorf, Germany and came to the States in 1923, she had been a resident of Beaumont most of her life. Sophie worked for Beaumont Independent School District for nine years.
Survivors include her sons, Edwin Anderson and his wife Betty of Nederland, and William August Anderson and his wife Barbara of Waco; four grandchildren, Mark Anderson, Craig Anderson, Steven Anderson, and Nathan Anderson; seven great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and other loving family members.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Axel Anderson in November 1979 and her grandson, David Anderson.
Funeral services will be 10:00 A. M. Wednesday, August 17, 2005 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont. A gathering of her family and friends will be 4:00 P. M. until 8:00 P. M Tuesday, August 16, 2005 at the mortuary and from 9:00 A. M. until time of service Wednesday, August 17, 2005 at the church.
