Carlos Luis Tijerina, 77, of Beaumont died July 19, 2005 at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital. He was born in Houston, Texas on October 18, 1927, Carlos is a veteran of the United States Army where he served during the Korean Conflict. He worked as a cook for Felix Mexican Restaurant until his retirement.
He is survived by his wife, Carmen Tijerina of Beaumont; sons, Felix Tijerina and his wife Shirley of Missouri City, and Carlos Tijerina of Houston; daughters, Vickie Rose and her husband Robert of Missouri City, Lisa Garcia and her husband Alvino of Missouri City and Karen Gonzales and her husband Louis of Beaumont; sister, Rosie Solis of Houston; seventeen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
